Great Canadian Gaming Keeps Casino Woodbine Locked

Great Canadian Gaming Corporation had been preparing for the official reopening of one of its casino hotspots this week, but this would not be the case, at least for the time being. Casino Woodbine is not going to return to its daily operation on November 14, as it was previously announced, as the unprecedented situation calls for more caution.

The unprecedented situation calls for an utmost level of flexibility when it comes to the gambling field of Canada, as each province has been working on its unique set of recommendations when it comes to its businesses. It is twitched in real-time, as the situation is dynamically changing day by day. The province of Ontario recently announced some changes.

Casino Woodbine

November 10 witnessed an official announcement coming from the City of Toronto, making it clear that casinos and gambling halls will have to remain closed for business. Going forward, the gaming venues in the region will be prohibited to welcome patrons on a daily basis, due to the dynamically changing health situation in the region.

The protection of both patrons and casino staff is important for the local authorities, as well as for the casino operators. Delta Bingo and Casino is one of the popular gaming locations in the Toronto area which will have to put its daily operation on hold until further notice. Casino Woodbine adjacent to Woodbine Racetrack will also have to see a change in its plans for operation over the upcoming weeks.

The casino operator made it clear that it will have to scrap its previous plans for reopening the casino location on November 14. Doing so right now would not be the most appropriate thing to do, as Great Canadian Gaming aims to protect its patrons and employees. The leader has also agreed to follow closely all health recommendations the province has in relation to the unprecedented situation.

Rapidly Changing Situation

It could be recalled that November 4 saw the reopening news coming from Great Canadian Gaming Corporation, making it clear that ten days later individuals will get the chance to once again gamble in-person at Casino Woodbine. The gaming hotspot suspended its operation on October 9 following several weeks of gaming on its premises. What should be pointed out is that the casino operator is not planning on closing its remaining casino venues in Ontario.

There are ten remaining casinos overseen by Great Canadian Gaming Corporation on a provincial scale and they will continue with their daily operation. All mandatory safety and health protocols will continue making gaming sessions safer than ever. In-person gambling also continues in the New Brunswick and Nova Scotia gaming properties managed by the casino leader.

Great Canadian Gaming Corporation is ready for a brand new era of its development, as it recently announced a new definitive agreement. The casino operator is going to be acquired by Apollo Global Management, Inc. striving to improve its gambling and hospitality potential. The acquisition will amount to some CA$3.3 billion in Great Canadian Gaming common stock.
