Great Canadian Gaming Reopens Nova Scotia Venues

Great Canadian Gaming Corporation is ready for the next phase of its business reopening plan with the official relaunch of its two casino locations in Nova Scotia. Following more than six months of lockdown, the two venues in Halifax and Sydney greenlighted operation on October 5 with all safety and health protocols intact.

Atlantic Canada is ready for more gambling offerings to enhance its region, as one of Canada’s leading casino operators announced the reopening of its two casinos in the province of Nova Scotia. This week is an important one, as it sees the relaunch following more than half a year of no in-person gambling in the province. Casino Nova Scotia Halifax and Sydney are here to make things right.

Casino Nova Scotia

Individuals interested in casino gaming in Nova Scotia have one more reason to rejoice, as the two casinos within the province are now working. They have an extensive safety program making it possible for players to explore everything up for grabs in the safest manner possible. For starters, both Casino Nova Scotia Halifax and Casino Nova Scotia Sydney feature a brand new working schedule.

The two venues are going to work between 12 p.m. and 1 a.m. on a daily basis and still get enough time for a thorough cleaning, disinfection, and sanitization outside of the work hours in question. Casino management wants to ensure that all patrons making their way there feel safe to do so and know that their safety, as well as the safety of the casino employees, are of utmost importance for Great Canadian Gaming Corporation.

Individuals with flu-like symptoms will not be allowed on the premises of the two casino hotspots of Nova Scotia. Casino patrons should also keep in mind that they will be required to show their ID upon entering the casino locations, in order to identify themselves. They will also have to wear face masks at all times while gambling.

Sydney and Halifax

The casino leader has installed sanitation stations across the casino floors, making it easier for individuals to access hand sanitizer whenever they feel like it. People are advised to use those on a regular basis while being on the premises of the casino floor. Physical distancing is also advised, as patrons should stay two meters apart at all times.

This is further facilitated by the reduced number of slot machines in operation, preventing clusters of patrons. Only 60 percent of the slot machines available will be turned on. A patrons’ limit has also been introduced, welcoming back up to one-third of the original capacity of both Casino Nova Scotia Sydney and Halifax. For even more safety, plexiglass screens have been installed on several areas of the casino floor.

Individuals making their way there should keep in mind that at least during this first phase of the return of in-person gambling in Nova Scotia, table games would not be available. All food and beverage areas on the casino floor will also have to remain closed until further notice. Great Canadian Gaming worked closely with Nova Scotia Gaming Corporation on these measures.
