WCLC on the Verge of new VLT Era with IGT

International Game Technology is here to improve in-person gambling for a large number of gaming enthusiasts with the help of its improved collaboration in Canada. Its subsidiary IGT Canada Solutions ULC has expanded its existing contract with Western Canada Lottery Corporation, improving its video lottery system in the foreseeable future with its premium technology.

The upcoming seven years are expected to see tons of improvement to the existing gaming scene the Crown corporation oversees. This will easily happen with the recently extended contract for collaboration International Game Technology. Its ultimate goal will be to bring innovation to the existing video lottery system in Saskatchewan. There are some 4,200 video lottery terminals sprinkled across the province and offering daily entertainment.

New Central System

The task is responsible and the gaming leader is ready to take care of the large number of gaming devices linked in a province-wide network. This will happen with the help of its INTELLIGEN systems software. International Game Technology is renowned for its advanced tech and devoted approach to gambling management, optimizing, and simplifying the entire process.

With its help, Western Canada Lottery Corporation is projected to provide the security needed for this management, while also taking into account the increased demand for these gaming devices. This upgrade will solidify the gaming leader as a reliable partner to the Crown corporation, as the team has achieved a lot over the years. The upgrade is projected to be finished by the beginning of September 2021, giving enough time for the implementation of the new technology.

Eric Karmark, Western Canada Lottery Corporation Vice President of VLT Gaming & Operations, said that the partnership between the two parties has lasted for about four decades now and it has stood the test of time. Now it is time for improvement and for keeping up with the times, making the local gambling field as competitive as possible with the help of innovation.

Video Lottery Terminals

The long partnership gave the Crown corporation the confidence to pursue this upgrade in the upcoming months. This new INTELLIGEN system is about to bring a wide array of functionalities and special tools optimizing the daily work. They are expected to increase gaming revenue generated by video lottery terminals on a provincial scale and keep players engaged in gambling for longer.

Nick Khin, IGT Chief Operating Officer, Gaming, pointed out that the new centralized system will be the breath of fresh air needed, fortifying the lottery leader’s position in the gambling field. With the help of this new system, network diagnostics will become easier than ever before. The stability of the overall network will also be improved. Problem gambling will also be professionally handled with responsible gaming features.

The mystery jackpots of the Vault Breaker will see enhancement and optimization too, ready to change players’ lives for good with their magnitude. The INTELLIGEN systems introduce the Gaming Standards Association’s Game to System standard protocol, bringing cutting-edge technology to the already popular gambling devices.
