Turning Stone Resort Casino Undergoes Major Renovations

Turning Stone Resort Casino is preparing for the future after the unprecedented situation in New York. The Oneida Indian Nation has announced a plan to make some multi-million upgrades to the gaming facility as patron count is expected to increase, as the state advances its vaccination process. The property will be making new additions in venues along with upgrading the current ones.

Last year the casino was closed down after the start of the unprecedented situation in March 2020 and the followed lockdown restrictions. Fortunately, for its gambling fans, the facility was able to reopen in June 2020 and the casino has been operational since then. Its new operation is accompanied by strict health and safety rules in order to keep staff and patrons safe from the virus.

Improvements

 

The native American corporation has named the renovation project “The Best Never Rest”, and it will be celebrating the property’s 28th anniversary. The makeover plans included improvements to The Showroom, which is used to host many major tourist events. In addition to that, the company will seek to launch a new fancy bar in The Lodge, a new-look buffet, and changes to its wedding and conference venues.

The Showroom is on track to return to its normal working conditions as the venue has started to accept booking acts for later in 2021. The venue’s renovations will see a modern redesign with dark mahogany wood, premium stadium-style seats, along with a brand-new bar in the atrium. Additionally, the venue will receive an improved sound system with boosted theatrical lighting.

And when it comes to the improvement of The Lodge, the company will bring a 25-foot cherrywood and quarts bar in the Great Room. This new addition will overlook the Great Lawn and the gold course. The company will also provide new decor and guest amenities at The Shenendoah Clubhouse, which is a wedding venue at the complex, and new décor at the Cypress Conference Center.

The casino will also announce a brand-new name and format changes to its buffet, which has been non-operational since the beginning of the unprecedented situation in March last year. And according to the casino, this venue has been the one that most patrons have acquired about and when will be able to reopen.

Recruitment

Last year Turning Stone Resort Casino continued recruitment in Central New York, as the property was looking into making some new additions to its gaming team. The facility announced that there were 250 positions up for grabs, as the casino wants to elevate its patrons’ experience. At the time the property had already filled 70 of the roles with individuals from Central New York and Orlando workers.

Hotspot for Major Events

The fact that the casino has transformed into a hotspot for gambling is no coincidence, as in normal conditions its management often organizes major tournaments that attract many experienced gamblers. At the start of 2020, the gaming entity announced its Winter Poker Meltdown Festival, which saw many patrons compete for the US$500,000 prize pool.
