Thunder Bay CA$590K Home Lottery Draws Lucky Winner, Charities Bag Cash

For the 33rd time in a row, the annual house lottery offered Ontario residents and people interested in living in the province the chance to win the brand new house located on 137 Dogwood Crescent. This year saw the 33rd annual edition and more than 14,000 tickets were sold.

CA$6 Million Allocated over 32 Years

This amount of tickets equates to more than CA$435,000, as many people have utilized the special offers for multiple-ticket purchases. With the help of this allocation, local charities and non-profit organizations have the chance to boost their projects and improve the community. What should be pointed out is that ever since its first edition back in 1986, the raffle has been able to amass more than CA$6 million.

At the end of 2018 local organizations bagged a total of CA$278,480 and among them were the Thunder Bay Art Gallery, George Jeffery Children’s Foundation, Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, and the Lakehead Festival of Music.

Every ticket for participation in the raffle retailed at CA$100 but people also had the chance to make good use of special offers that guarantee them a better chance of winning the lottery. One of those was the three tickets for CA$250. Point of sale locations in the area were Balmoral Park Acura, Wanson Lumber, Finnish Book Store, George Jeffrey Children’s Centre, George’s Market, and many more.
