Dr. Quigley was officially reassigned as Chairwoman of the Board of Directors. She has acquired commissioner certification training level I, level II, and level III through the National Indian Gaming Association. Also, Ms. Quigley serves as a member of the board of directors for the National Indian Education Association, and on the board of the YWCA of Western New York

Ms. Nephew will be serving her second third-year term as Vice Chairwoman to the Board. She has more than enough experience as she had operated for more than 10 years in the gaming industry, including serving as an assistant director with the Seneca Nation’s class II gaming operations, and as an inspector with the Seneca Gaming Authority.

As things stand the current Board of Directors of the tribal corporation is: Dr. Quigley as a Chairwoman, with Ms. Nephew as Vice Chairwoman. Then, Mr. Waterman Jr. serving as treasurer, with Geneva Locke as corporate secretary. Allie R. George, Jay B. John, and Natalie N. Stahlman will be serving as directors at the board.

President and CEO of the tribal gaming corporation, Kevin Nephew, congratulated all new board members after they were assigned to their new positions. Mr. Nephew stated that the leadership and the support of the board members have been a valuable asset and of extreme importance for the company’s development during the difficult times caused by the unprecedented situation.

Fourth of July Festivities

Most recently Seneca Gaming Corporation revealed its schedule for its yearly Independence Day firework celebrations. The Native American company stated that the light show at Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino and Seneca Allegany Resort & Casino will be held respectively July 2 and July 4. Both shows will start at around 9:40 p.m., however, there will not be public viewing areas due to the capacity restrictions.

19th Anniversary

Speaking of festivities the tribal company previously celebrated its 19th year anniversary after its inclusion in the NYS gaming industry with the 2002 gaming compact with the state. The referendum was passed with a margin of 101 votes, and that is why the company has decided to name its recently revamped club Lounge 101 at its first casino in the region – Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino.
