Turning Stone Casino to Unveil New Sports and Betting Lounge

This December, Turning Stone Casino Resort in Verona, New York, will be enhancing its nightlife experiences with the launch of a new sports and betting lounge. Branded NY Rec & Social Club, the new venue will officially open doors on December 18, 2023, and will replace the resort’s previous Lave Nightclub located in the Exit 33 wing of the property.

The resort is owned and operated by the Oneida Indian Nation of New York and it is located at 5218 Patrick Rd, Verona, NY 13478. The gambling amenity offers world-class gaming, dining, hotel stays, recreation and so much more to its many patrons. There are 2,000 slots, 66 table games, a Bingo Hall, and an enormous poker room for the guests to enjoy.

Coming This December

According to the casino, the new club bridges the gap between sportsbook and lounge. The new venue is equipped with 60 high-definition TVs, as well as games such as foosball, shuffleboard, darts and billiards. But that is not all as the lounge which can accommodate up to 200 guests will also offer table betting games, such as blackjack and craps to its guests.

In addition to that Oneida Nation also announced the rebranding of its sports betting amenities at the Verona casino, along with sportsbooks at its YBR Casino in Chittenango and the Point Place Casino in Bridgeport. These sportsbooks have been operating under a branding partnership with Caesars Entertainment since opening in 2019, and now they will rebrand as TS Sports.

The sportsbook at Turning Stone Casino Resort will be moved from its current location near the property’s main entrance to the NY Rec & Social Club. After the rebranding, the type of offerings at the sportsbooks will not change, explained Joel Barking, VP of Communication for Oneida and Turning Stone Enterprises. But players will lose access to Caesar’s rewards program.

With its new lounge at the Verona gaming resort, the tribe has New York state’s two largest physical sportsbooks. Its YBR sports betting venue touts 9,000 square feet of space and can accommodate 250 fans. It also impresses with a 32-foot LED screen, another 35 additional screens and six fan caves that offer private viewing areas and personal food and beverage services.

Oneida’s new NY Rec & Social Club is part of its US$370 million plan to make expansion to Turning Stone Casino, which was first revealed earlier this year. Its project includes a new hotel, enhanced conference center and other additional dining and entertainment venues. It is also on course to be the largest expansion at the gambling resort since its launch 30 years ago.

Best Overall Gaming Resort in 2023

But even before the finalization of the expansion plans, Turning Stone Casino Resort is still constantly recognized for its immense offerings. In the summer, the resort was selected as the Best Overall Gaming Resort in this year’s Casino Player magazine’s Best of Gaming Awards. It also claimed a record-setting amount of 31 awards in the 2023 edition of the annual awards.
