On April 4, 2022, Ontario wrote history as it became the first Canadian territory to launch a legal online gambling model for third-party operators and suppliers. The market overseen by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, witnessed major success as in its first 12 months it generated a total wagering handle of over CA$35.6 billion and revenues of just over CA$1.48 billion.

Expanding Ontario Presence

Through the collaboration, Rootz has received access to a portfolio of exciting slot games and video slots that will certainly entertain players. The studio‘s games have been a big hit among players who are keen on spinning reels of traditional slots and the excitement that is provoked by lemon, cherry, grape, orange, BAR, 7 and bell symbols on the reels.

However, the developer has taken the gameplay up a level in comparison to other three-reel products. In games like Super Bonus Wild, Runner 8 Runner, Bonus Runner, Super 6 Timer and Mega Runner, players can also land Wilds, Multiplier, and Free Spins when playing. On top of that, local players have a high demand for online slots as they always looking for the next big hit.

Some of the studio’s newly issued games including Rooster Mobs, Wild Hogs, Wild Wild Bass 3, and Spinata Pinata will be made available to Rootz players. These titles seamlessly combine quirky designs with explosive gameplay, thus providing the best possible digital gambling experience available to players.

In addition to that, users of the online casino platform will also gain access to the provider’s innovative Super Wheel. This a bonus, which can be activated on a random spin, and teleports players to a live studio, where they can spin a giant wheel to win prizes and gather more bonuses. All of this certainly puts the provider in a tremendous position in the local market.

Market is on Track to Grow Even Larger

As mentioned, Ontario’s regulated sector has enjoyed tremendous success in its first year of iGaming operations. It delivered just over CA$1.48 billion to the gross domestic product with CA$906 million going into labour income. These numbers put the province in the top five jurisdictions for online gaming in North America.

It is projected that the sector will continue to grow in its second year, as even more operators and suppliers have arrived on the online scene.
