Seneca Resorts & Casinos Stack 39 Gaming Awards

Seneca Resorts & Casinos is once again making the headlines, as its three gambling locations in Western New York claimed numerous awards at the “Best of Gaming Awards.” The three properties – Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino, Seneca Allegany Resort & Casino and Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino claimed a total of 39 honours during this year’s edition event.

The three premium resorts boast over 5,100 slot machines, over 125 live table games, as well as 20 dining amenities, 12 exciting bars, and two AAA Four Diamond award-winning hotels. Visitors can stay at one of the 1,000 premium rooms and suites. Meanwhile, the three gambling resorts are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and 365 days a year.

Racking Up Awards

Last week, Casino Player magazine issued the winners list for this year’s edition of the “Best of Gaming Awards.” In New York, Seneca Gaming’s casinos collected a total of 39 honours, out of which 14 were First Place ones. The awards are voted by readers of the magazine, and every year gamblers vote on their favourite casino property in the country in numerous categories.

Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino in Niagara Falls collected the largest portion of the awards, as the resort was number one in the following categories: Best Casino, Best Rooms, Best Suites, Favorite Casino Resort for a Staycation, Best Blackjack, Best Carnival Games, Best Hosts and Best Non-Smoking Casino. It also received seven Second Place mentions and five Third Place awards.

Located in Salamanca, Seneca Allegany Resort & Casino stacked up a total of 15 honours. Including First Place awards for Best Reel Slots, Best Roulette and Best Players Club. Meanwhile, Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino in downtown Buffalo received First Place honours for Casino Where You Feel the Luckiest, Best Sportsbook Promotions, and Friendliest Sportsbook.

Seneca Gaming Corporation President & CEO Kevin Nephew commented that the appreciation and support of customers are among the highest recognitions that the company can claim. He noted that all of those things contribute to making the Seneca difference for their guests, and this is something that the operator is always trying to provide to each of its visitors.

Agreeing New Compact with New York State

It should be also mentioned that in June 2023, the Seneca Nation of Indians and the Empire State reached an agreement on a new gaming compact for the tribe. The current one expires in December 2023. The agreement in principle was also confirmed by Gov. Kathy Hochul’s office, but there are not many details on it yet.

It was revealed that the Native American tribe and the New York administration have included a casino for the tribe in Rochester. However, this came as a surprise to the local public. Assemblymember Harry Bronson expressed his concern about the lack of transparency in the late-night revelation of a potential casino. Casino staff from nearby gaming properties were also not fond of the plan.
