Canadian Gaming Summit Returns to Toronto in 2024

Canada’s largest gambling and betting event, the Canadian Gaming Summit, is on track to make a comeback to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre for its next edition. The event will be hosted from June 18, 2024, through June 20, 2024, and again it will attract industry leaders who will discuss the Canadian market and wish to strengthen their positions.

Once more in a partnership with the Canadian Gaming Association, next year’s running of the summit will bring together over 3,000 delegates from leading affiliates, suppliers and providers, sports teams, Crown corporations, First Nation representatives, lotteries, bingo operators, along with representatives of over 600 privately-run operators from the industry.

Plans for 2024

CEO and Founder of SBC, Rasmus Sojmark said the company is pleased to once more offer delegates a unique platform for them to enhance business operations. He added that the conference is not just about delivering premium educational content, as it is also about breaking down the latest innovations, engaging with regional brands, and providing networking options.

The exhibition floor will host over 75 international and local brands, which will showcase their newest tech, games, and services. Some of the brands which will demonstrate their product include Altenar, Arrow Games, BetConstruct, Continent 8, Everi, Gigadat, Kinectify, Optimove, Paramount Commerce, Payper, Paysafe, Smartsoft Gaming, Soft2Bet and many more.

CGS will also include a two-day conference agenda with more than 150 expert speakers prominent in the Canadian gambling market. These include the CEO of the Canadian Gaming Association, Paul Burns, Executive VP, Stakeholder Relations, at Great Canadian Entertainment, Chuck Keeling, CEO of PointsBet Canada, Scott Vanderwel, Associate Professor at Brock University, Dr. Mike Naraine, and many more.

It will also feature a dedicated Player Protection Symposium on June 18, 2024, which will see delegates discuss innovative player protection, compliance, and leadership strategies from six panels. There will also be networking events such as the ones at Lavelle and the RS Sports Bar, allowing representatives to strike long-lasting connections with industry stakeholders.

26th Edition in 2023

This year’s edition of the summit was its 26th running and it was again hosted at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre from June 13 through June 15, 2023. It was the first time that SBC hosted the event since purchasing it from the Canadian Gaming Association and MediaEdge Communications. The deal was inked and announced in March 2022.

As part of this year’s event, SBC organized a ‘Land-Based’ conference track, which discussed the future of land-based gambling in an industry headed toward digitalization. It started with a ‘Lessons learned from community & charitable gaming’ panel which conversed about how non-profit charities and commercial operators can still be viable and relevant.
