Quebec Flocks of Players Won Big via Simple Lotto Tickets

A photo is worth a thousand words but many people praising lottery gaming could say the same about a lottery ticket. The seemingly nondescript piece of paper has the potential to change one’s life from mere existence to a very special ride. The year 2019 was special for a group of four individuals united by their blood, which became eligible for a CA$65-million jackpot after a Lotto MAX ticket purchase in June. And this was not their first rodeo.

Montreal’s Lonteri family appears to be a rather fortunate one, as said individuals have attracted millions in lotto cash for the second time in three years. The most recent case took place this year when the Lanteris purchased a lucky Lotto MAX ticket and hoped for the best. This happened at the Ville Émard convenience store in Montreal.

Great Prizes in Quebec

Loto-Quebec invited the four winners to a special ceremony, but prize claim center welcomed eight individuals. The Lanteris agreed on sharing the CA$65-million prize with their extended family. Giuseppa Lanteri and Nunzio Lanteri were the individuals receiving the cheque as leaders of the group of four originally eligible for the cash prize. They would forever remember June 18 as a special day bringing them a hassle-free future.

The convenience store that sold the ticket also bagged some CA$650,000 as a result of that. Plans for the upcoming months included trips to Italy and Mauritius creating warm family memories. The family bagged CA$1 million thanks to an Extra draw on January 20, 2017. Another major jackpot reaching CA$50 million was linked to a group ticket sold in Brossard.

The group of 20 lottery fans hit a grand windfall, making each of them eligible for a cash prize of CA$2.5 million. Many Canadians are drawn to this particular form of gaming, as it is perceived as a less dangerous one when it comes to problem gambling tendencies. One of the latest Lotto MAX jackpots to make it to Quebec made October more special.

Lotto MAX Changed Lives

The Montérégie region is home to Liliane Synotte Deschênes. At a grand ceremony, Loto-Quebec gave her the CA$32,000,000 Lotto MAX cheque she was eligible for, while she was still in dismay. Her numbers managed to match the ones drawn on October 18, finally making her dreams come true. Ms. Deschênes is regular with the ticket purchases ahead of every lottery draw.

The winning purchase was made at Maxi & Cie in Longueuil. The retail location bagged a CA$320,000 slice of the overall cash payout. Plans for the foreseeable future include the purchase of a new motorcycle and a new car. The winner and her husband were also ready to dedicate some time to traveling and creating lasting memories, a common goal for many lottery winners.

People tend to make up for lost time upon winning a lottery windfall, which often includes the purchase of a lavish new home or the shiny car they have always dreamed of. Very few of them actually realize the true magnitude of their jackpots upon receiving them.
