Last week, the Western Canada Lottery Corporation revealed yet another exciting video lottery terminal win. This time, the name of the winner is Jennifer Fafard from Humboldt, Saskatchewan, and she has won more than a half-million in Canadian dollars by playing the fan-favourite Vault Breaker. With the money, she plans to put her children through university.

Vault Breaker is a popular progressive jackpot VLT game. It increases progress for every progressive-enabled title, and it comes with three jackpots. The largest one is the Grand Jackpot which is province-wide and it pays between CA$500,000 and CA$1,500,000, then there is the regional major with prizes from CA$5,000 to CA$25,000, and the Minor with pays from CA$100 to CA$500.
Significantly Richer Now
Upon arriving at a WCLC office to claim her hefty prize of exactly CA$660,501, the winner Ms. Fafard shared some more details on her windfall. The Humboldt resident won the province-wide Grand jackpot by playing Vault Breaker at the Pioneer Hotel on July 3, 2022. And she said that she was in shock and disbelief when the VLT displayed the winning.
Ms. Fafard said that there was plenty of screaming and jumping out of joy after that. And with the money, she plans on taking a little trip, but that is not all she has in mind. The winner also shared with the Crown corporation, that she also wants to use a portion of the money to give her children a good start and pay for their university education.
Since 2017, the province-wide jackpot of Vault Breaker has provided the amazing CA$22,391,859.77 to a total of 24 winners from the province. After the grand jackpot is won by someone from the jurisdiction then it is reset again to its minimum of CA$500,000. And every time a player places a wager from with the province he contributes to the large payout.
The Western Canada Lottery Corporation is a state-run agency that is responsible for managing, conducting, and operating video lottery-related activities as a body for the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority. The latter owns a network of over 4,200 VLTs which are located in more than 570 locations in 270 communities in the Province of Saskatchewan.
Past Vault Breakers
Some of the winners from the province that have won big on Vault Breakers from previous years include Scott Wheatley from Regina. Mr. Wheatley has also come to the possession of a Grand jackpot by playing the game at Reginaβs Four Seasons Palace in May this year. His windfall amounts to CA$1,188,958.43 and he plans to buy a new truck and a storage trailer as a treat for himself.
In December 2021, the WCLC also reported that Rebecca Tyber from the village of Success has also claimed a jackpot from Vault Breaker. Her prize was CA$1,071,735.48, and she manage to snatch it while playing at the Springs Garden Restaurant and Lounge in Swift Current on November 27, 2021. With the winning, she plans to purchase a brand-new car.
