Year of the Rat
The Lunar New Year is one of the special moments of the year in the Asian culture, as it brings people together and celebrates the start of something new. It is a celebration filled with hope for a better 12 months ahead of all of us. Resorts World Catskills is ready to make the upcoming weekend an even more memorable one with its celebrations.
Multicultural Radio Broadcasting and the Chinese Media Group are the organizers of this event spanning over two weekends at the casino resort. Last weekend brought the first portion of excitement with the special pre-Lunar New Year Gala covering both Saturday and Sunday. January 25 is about to see the real celebration taking place on the premises of the casino resort.
The official start would be given with the traditional Blessing Ceremony Lion Dance. This is a pivotal point for everyone in the Asian world, as it sets the tone for the upcoming year. It is about to take place between 12 p.m. and 2 pm. Individuals present there would also have the chance to start the year with a hefty prize, as a Fortune God would give away prizes.
Lucky Red Envelopes
Some 500 of the guests would be in for a treat, as they are going to receive lucky red envelopes with money inside. Such a move is projected to make the event even more attractive for individuals across the region. January 23 is about to bring the Lunar New Year Qualifier and Final Slot Tournament for those individuals ready to try their luck at this special time of the year.
The Thursday gaming action is about to continue all the way to Saturday, gathering all individuals for gaming between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. The 200 individuals who perform most proficient during this event would have the chance to reunite on January 26 for the Lunar New Year’s Final Slot Tournament. Monticello residents are also projected to benefit from the special shuttle service offered by Resorts World Catskills.
The Bus Red Envelope Giveaway would make gaming even more exciting for 1,000 patrons taking the ride to the casino resort. Between January 2 and January 31, patrons having 28 gaming points to their name would become eligible for an envelope with US$8 inside.
