Pollard Banknote Strikes Deal with Premier Lotteries Ireland

This week, Manitoba-based Pollard Banknote reported that its subsidiary mkodo Limited has inked a collaboration agreement with Premier Lotteries Ireland. As per the partnership, the subsidiary will update and optimize the lottery’s current website to provide bolstered user experience, as well as quicker, safer, and more robust buying methods for its patrons.

Pollard Banknote’s mkodo is a prominent provider of online apps and user interfaces for the lottery and gambling industry. It was founded in 2001, and since then it has obtained numerous awards as recognition for its development of digital experiences for its users. Some of its partners include leading North American lotteries and leading betting operators in the U.K.

Strengthening Presence Abroad

According to the press release from this week, one of the main goals for the new website would be to bolster the player experience for desktop and mobile users. This was already done but only partially via the upgrade of the user journey for the available entertainment options, which includes mainly draw games and instant win products.

Also enabling a secure and robust transactional experience is also on the agenda. By partnering with mkodo, the lottery is allowed to make purchasing tickets a much smoother experience. The provider has already facilitated the lottery’s implementation of Bank of Ireland Payment Acceptance, which is a transactional technology that enables quick but secure payments for players.

Will Whitehead, Commercial Director, mkodo commented that via discovery workshops, the supplier has worked in unison with PLI to enhance the lottery’s online and mobile platforms. He added that providing PLI and its users with the new reimagined approach has resulted in an intuitive user experience, which makes ticket purchases more efficient and safer.

Stephen Reid, Head of Digital Products, PLI responded that the lottery is devoted to providing players with top-notch lottery experience. He noted that the new website focuses on player protection while also providing a better overall user experience. Thanks to the help of mkodo, the lottery is now confident that the new upgrades will resonate well with its many players.

More News from the Lottery Provider

Since the start of 2023, Pollard Banknote has announced a handful of new partnerships to bolster its operations. In February, the company inked a deal with Atlas Experiences, LLC. Via this partnership, the provider will launch a new multi-jurisdictional Frogger instant game program, allowing lotteries to offer a grand prize and access to an integrated marketing campaign.

In March, the lottery partner also provided an update on its fiscal numbers for the three-month period and year that ended on December 31, 2022. For Q4, the lottery provider reported a record for the quarter with CA$126.9 million in revenue which was an 8.9% improvement. Meanwhile, the end of 2022 marked a new record for yearly revenue at CA$482.3 million.
