Pollard Banknote Granted a Maryland Contract Extension

Breaking news coming from Pollard Banknote this week saw the lottery ticket provider receive a contract extension by one of its long-time partners – Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency. The new agreement is a four-year contract, which comes into power on July 8, 2021, and there will be an option to renew for additional three years.

Pollard Banknote and the MLGCA first started their collaboration in 2006, and ever since then, they have established a great relationship. Since then, the ticket supplier has served as the main contractor for instant tickets and recording great results, as the lottery’s instant-ticket sales have doubled. Then in FY2020, sales reached the impressive amount of CA$852.7 million.

Long-Lasting Cooperation

Thanks to Pollard Banknote the Maryland lottery entity has managed to keep its portfolio of instant games fresh and exciting for its many players. For example, the lottery’s CA$10 Ravens ticket with Ravens holographic logo, was the market’s first-of-kind Scratch FXtra™ ticket. Additionally, the ticket supplier has had a major part in the lotto’s Marilyn Monroe™ brand. Which later become of the best-selling CA$2 games.

The ticket contractor is set to continue working with the lottery entity to develop more top-notch instant ticket concepts. Along with this, the company aims to identify new growth plans to improve its retail influence and find other ways of introducing new online offerings. Both sides will have ongoing discussions on innovative products offerings, market research tools, and thrilling new games.

John Martin, Director of the lottery corporation, stated that the institution is delighted to continue collaboration with the prominent ticket provider and is happy to award the company with the extended contract. He claimed that both companies will build on their immaculate relationship and will focus on delivering new and engaging instant ticket titles to their players.

Matthew Isaac, Senior Director, Lottery Marketing at the ticket contractor said that the company is excited to see that the Maryland Lottery continues to put faith into them to be their main supplier for instant tickets and related services. He concluded his statement by saying that the firm is looking forward to providing new cutting-edge titles to its fans in the future.

Michigan Agreement

Prior to the latest extension of the contract, Pollard Banknote received one more extension of cooperation in the United States but with the Michigan Lottery. Both sides have a rich history of collaboration as they first started working together 25 years ago. With this extension, the supplier will continue to provide the Lottery with instant ticket titles to at least December 31, 2021.

Ontario Operations

The established ticket provider is also quite popular in Canada, as a while back the company received an extension of a contract with the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation. So far both corporations have enjoyed a great partnership, and the ticket contractor will continue to deliver its top quality products to the Crown to at least July 31, 2021.
