Pollard Banknote Finalist for Yet Another Reward

Manitoba-based Pollard Banknote has just informed that its subsidiary Schafer Systems has been nominated and is now a finalist in a major category at the International Gaming Awards. The category is Lottery Product of the Year and the nomination is for the cutting-edge Select 4β„’ Instant Ticket Vending Machine by Schafer Systems.

The International Gaming Awards are determined by a panel of industry experts and this year’s edition will be the 15th one. The panel has most recently announced its finalist for a series of different categories, and winners will be announced on April 11, 2022, at a ceremony in London. Pollard Banknote has also been nominated for US Gaming Company of the Year.

The Award

Lottery Product of the Year is awarded to a company for a product that has an innovative concept, improves the ability to connect and engage players, while also coming with the best options in terms of playing. The Select 4β„’ Instant Ticket Vending Machine fits the description perfectly, as it combines the features of a self-service ITVM while making it more compact.

The cutting-edge product allows lotteries to sell instant tickets without a real-life cashier in markets that have proved difficult, this includes bars, restaurants, bowling alleys, coffee shops, and more. Thanks to its compact size and design, the machine can fit almost anywhere, while still coming with a fun, digital interface, that is able to engage players. Its security and user-friendly interface have been a game-changer for the industry.

Teresa Immel, Senior Director, Sales and Marketing, Schafer Systems, said that the company is proud to see that the Select 4β„’ product has been welcomed in such a spectacular way. She commented that retail expansion is and will continue to be the main object of the company and Select 4β„’, which is perfect for unorthodox locations such as bars and restaurants.

In her words, as of right now, the self-service lottery vending machine has been successfully launched in two U.S. jurisdictions and it has been received with strong interest from lottery fans. This has led to an increase in instant ticket sales. She concluded by saying that the company is looking forward to seeing how the product and other services from the company can be leveraged to attract new crowds.

It is also worth mentioning, that Pollard Banknote has been revealed as a finalist in two more categories at the 2022 International Gaming Awards. The first honor is the US Gaming Company of the Year, and the other is Lottery Product of the Year. The latter is in relation to the company’s state-of-the-art new instant game concept, named Struck By Luck.

Granted Contract Extension

Currently, the prominent ticket provider has partnered with over 60 lotteries from all around the globe. In the summer of 2021, the company received a contract extension by the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency, for its exceptional service and results. The new contract came into effect on July 8, 2021, and it is a four-year agreement, which can be renewed once for three additional years.
