This September, Parq Vancouver will be celebrating its 4th year anniversary of premium operations. The entertainment hub revealed that it has something special planned for its visitors as a way of celebrating the occasion. On September 29, there will be happy hour drinks specials at its Centre Bar along with a discount on a set of fan-favorite items at the BC Kitchen venue.
Since its launch back in 2017, the entertainment centre has become a hotspot for entertainment for many residents of Vancouver. The property is perfect for a night out of drinks and food and for visitors to try their luck out in the premium casino. Overall, the centre has several restaurants, lounges, spas, hotels, and a 72,000 square feet casino.
The 4th year anniversary will be on September 29, 2021, and the property revealed some delicious deals which visitors can take advantage of. The Centre Bar will offer a happy hour drink special from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Meaning that guests of the whole complex can stop by the venue and enjoy a series of drinks at a discounted price of only CA$5.
The BC Kitchen will also join in on the celebration and provide some exciting offers too. The dining venue is located right on the side of the casino floor and it is a great place to grab a bite. For the whole day of September 29, the restaurant will provide its guests with the opportunity to enjoy some meals at a discounted price.
The restaurant informs that the following items will be just CA$4 each: wings, shrimp or vegetable spring rolls, crispy chicken sliders, churros, Parq Lager, or IPA. Those who stop by at the diner to grab a bite and refuel can later use the saved money to play even more games and further enjoy the gambling amenities at the casino floor.
After being closed down due to the unprecedented situation, the Vancouver entertainment hub managed to reopen its doors for patrons again on July 1, 2021. The reopening was possible as the province of British Columbia entered into Stage 3 of the reopening plan. On July 1, at 7 a.m. the property recommenced operations again, but under a strict set of health and safety rules.
In order to comply with social distancing protocols, the venue had its gaming floor reconfigured thus allowing the physical distance between guests. Also, Plexiglass barriers were installed throughout the whole premises. With the reopening, the complex also restarted the JW Marriott Hotel and Spa by JW at full capacity, along with the D/6 Bar & Lounge, BC Kitchen, and Honey Salt and The Victor restaurants.
Back in 2019, Parq Vancouver had a tough time financing its books as the property was hit by the money-laundering investigations in the province. This has led to a decrease in player volume and causing financial difficulties for the complex. In April 2019, the venue announced that it has found a way to pay its mandatory loan payments. Due to this, the property refinanced both the first-lien and second-lien loans with a fixed rate financing structure, thus leading to total debt of CA$450 million.
