On May 10, 2022, Ontario learned the name of the next online operator that has gone live in the province’s iGaming market and its name is the local NorthStar Bets. The mobile casino and sportsbook app is part of the provincially-based independent NorthStar Gaming. It features tons of premium offerings including live dealer games, VLTs, and more.
A while ago, NorthStar Gaming announced that it has been given the go-ahead from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario to operate in its competitive iGaming market for private betting operators. The market officially launched on April 4, 2022, and so far over 20 operators and 20 websites have gone live and now offer their online products to eligible Ontarians.
Now Live
NorthStar Gaming informs that registrations for its mobile app are now open in Ontario and that they can be done by visiting www.northstarbets.ca. The app is a custom-built gaming platform, which comes with both iCasino and online sportsbook betting. It features some of the most prominent titles from the industry, including live dealer blackjack, roulette, baccarat, and many digital slots.
NorthStar Bets offers an engaging and content-driven experience that provides them with access to data, insights, and analysis so they can make informed betting choices. In addition to that, consumers can tweak the exclusive content to their needs, so it can match their personal preferences and interests while wagering from their mobile devices or computers.
CEO and founding partner of the company, Michael Moskowitz, has recently shared that the app was developed specifically for Ontarians. He said that as a local sportsbook, the team is quite pleased to be launching activities on its home turf. Mr. Moskowitz is hopeful that the app will inspire a sense of pride among its users, as they familiarize themselves with it.
Previously, NorthStar Gaming announced an omnichannel advertising and marketing services agreement with Torstar Corporation. This allowed users of the app and readers of TheStar.com to have access to real-time sports betting content by the NorthStar Bets team. The company’s Senior NHL Insider Chris Johnston is one of the leaders of the content team and provides exclusive insights and commentary for the platform’s bettors.
A Market of Huge Opportunity and Selection
Ontario’s new and regulated iGaming framework has attracted an immense volume of operators that wish to take a share of the market. So far over 40 entities are live in the province, and their number grows with every day. Most recently, the leading casino games supplier, Wazdan announced its official entry into the province. Now, it is able to offer its games to other locally authorized operators.
Last week, Playgon has also announced its intentions of joining the market, as it submitted its Gaming Related Supplier – Manufactures License application to the AGCO. If approved proprietary SaaS technology company and creator of the first mobile live dealer technology VegasLounge™ will be able to also legally offer its gaming products and technology to the province.
