Lotto Max’s multi-million jackpot worth CA$70,000,000 has now survived yet another week, as on Friday, October 7, 2022, no ticket matched the winning numbers. But there were still plenty of rewards claimed among the country’s provinces. For instance, the draw saw several Maxmillion prizes worth CA$1 million go to Ontario and Quebec ticket holders.
Probably the most popular lottery game in Canada, Lotto Max has offered tremendous cashouts to its many players. Just as now, the jackpot can reach a maximum amount of stunning CA$70 million. And once the main prize passes the 50 million mark, players can also compete for Maxmillion prizes, which if not won go to the next draw.
Prize Pool Grows Larger
On Friday, October 7, 2022, Lotto Max held its second draw for the week with a main prize of CA$70,000,000. For yet another week, the jackpot continues to elude players, as no ticket holder from the country matched the winning combination. However, there were some pretty cool wins registered across the provinces, said the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation.
The Crown corporation informed that the last draw awarded a total of six Maxmillion payouts in Ontario. Five of the winning tickets have gone to Simcoe County, Haliburton and Muskoka area, York Region, Scarborough and Brampton. The last winner purchased their ticket online. Each of those ticket holders is now eligible for an amazing payout of CA$1 million.
However, that is not all prize winners. According to the OLG, an Encore ticket worth CA$1 million was sold in the York Region. In addition to that, two tickets worth CA$500,000 apiece were registered in Prince Edward Hastings County and Toronto’s North York. There are also other won prizes up to CA$100,000 which have gone to Newmarket, Huron County and Norfolk County.
Meanwhile, Loto-Québec has reported that three Maxmillion worth CA$1 million each were won from different regions of Quebec. Players are advised to check their tickets for the last draw. And those who have not won should not get discouraged as the next draw on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, will feature a jackpot of CA$70,000,000 and the whooping 58 Maxmillions.
Winners of a CA$70M Jackpot
So far this year, Canada has witnessed several claims of a maximum amount jackpot from Lotto Max. For instance, in January 54-year-old Manoharan Ponnuthurai from Brampton, Ontario cashed out his reward. He won the amazing prize, after opting for the Quick Pick option on his ticket for the December 17, 2021 draw. With the money, he plans to travel around the globe.
In addition to Mr. Ponnuthurai, later in the year, Quebec has also seen a CA$70 million win. This time, the name of the winner was Marcel Lussier, and he comes from Brossard, Montreal. He explains that he would like to help an entrepreneur rebuild Ukraine. And as a treat for himself and his wife, he wants them to go on a cruise together, as their previous one did not come true.
