On that Friday, the overall prize pool brought to the table will be CA$59 million including the Main Prize and additional Maxmillion prizes. Loto-Québec announced that Quebec residents are also more than welcome to purchase a ticket for the upcoming lottery draw.

What should be noted is that ever since its launch in 2009, this lottery game has granted Quebec residents upwards of CA$3.18 billion. This only comes to show just how popular this lotto offering is. Within the province, some 39 Main Prizes have been snatched over the same time period. This includes three Main Prizes in their full size – CA$70,000,000.

These prizes were claimed by tickets sold in February and October 2020 and in June 2022. The latest lottery millionaire in Quebec was quickly revealed. The name of the lucky ticket holder is Marcel Lussier, and he hails from Brossard, located on the south shore of Montreal.

Mr. Lussier arrived at an office of the Crown corporation in downtown Montreal to receive its large cheque. There he shared some more details on his life-changing win of CA$70,000,000. He said that he went to check the winning numbers online on the morning after the draw. And initially, he was not able to check due to the website kicking him off, but he quickly learned about his windfall.

The winner, who was previously employed by Hydro-Québec, commented that he used to work in the same building where he was handed his mega prize, and he even knows the building quite well Now with the money the environmental engineer already has some ideas about how to spend his new fortune, as he wants to give something back to the community.

British Columbia recently revealed a new lottery multi-millionaire, informs the British Columbia Lottery Corporation. According to the Crown agency, a Lotto Max player from the province, who has purchased a ticket on PlayNow.com, has been drawn as the sole winner of a CA$30.8 million jackpot on July 8. The winner’s lucky numbers were 07, 12, 14, 18, 46, 47 and 49.
