Light & Wonder Inks Partnership, Enters Ontario

Light & Wonder, formerly known as Scientific Games Corporation recently announced a great new extension of collaboration. The leading company is going to continue working with Entain all the way to 2030 with the help of a newly-inked agreement. The leading sports betting, gaming, and interactive entertainment group works with Light & Wonder since 2018.

 

The gambling world supports various collaborations aiming to enhance the offerings of both sides. It should be noted that the year 2018 witnessed the original agreement between Scientific Games Corporation at the time and Entain eyeing the United Kingdom’s gaming field. As a result of the powerful collaboration between the two parties, this week witnessed a much-needed extension that would continue this partnership over the course of eight more years.

New Agreement

This newly-inked agreement aims to continue the collaboration when it comes to retail server-based gaming solutions. There are more than 10,000 Entain terminals located in licensed betting offices and Light & Wonder supports them. Along with this continued supply, the agreement would make it possible for premium gaming titles to be offered to the local players seeking quality entertainment and wagering possibilities.

Some of the great products about to launch on the local market are Lord of The Rings and 777 High & Mighty™. What should also be pointed out is that the continued agreement gives the leading sports betting, gaming, and interactive entertainment group exclusive access to a gaming portfolio with more than 3,000 gaming products to choose from. They are powered by leading software studios and offer reliable technology and a friendly user interface.

Andy Hicks, Retail MD UK & Ireland at Entain, made it clear that patrons get to experience a great library of gaming titles and more possibilities thanks to this agreement with Light & Wonder. The local field would also benefit from premium operational and field service support, leading content, as well as flexible new features for an intuitive experience.

Ontario Entrance

Light & Wonder was also happy to announce that it scrapped its $4-billion term loan and redeemed some $3 billion in secured and unsecured notes with the help of its lottery operation and the new $2.2-billion term loan facility. In the meantime, the leading company also entered into a $750-million revolving credit facility. Investment in key growth opportunities is on the table.

In a recent statement, Light & Wonder also made it clear that it enters the online gaming field of Ontario, as it opens itself to more providers seeking diversity. The new open market launched at the beginning of this month and it gave local players a wide range of products to try. Along with the cutting-edge technology of its content, the company also revealed its OpenGaming platform giving both operators and patrons access to popular titles.

It could be recalled that back in September 2021, the company announced it struck a three-year supply partnership with the Arizona-based Design Works Gaming. As a result, the content of the latter was distributed by the provider’s OpenGaming platform to Canadian and the United States markets.
