Last week, Ontario learned the name of the latest gaming company that has been approved to enter its new and regulated iGaming market this spring and its name is Inspired Entertainment. The operator is the latest one to receive regulatory approval from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario and it has been issued a gaming-related supplier license.

The company boasts a premium and expanding portfolio of content, technology, hardware, and services for the regulated gaming, wagering, lottery, and social operators in the brick-and-mortar and the online industry. Currently, the corporation is able to deliver its contents to approximately 35 worldwide jurisdictions by supplying operators with gaming systems, associated terminals, and more.
Latest to Join
On March 17, 2022, Inspired Entertainment put out a statement that it has been approved by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario to join the province’s regulated iGaming market for private operators. Via the license, the company will be able to offer its products to other approved entities, and it have 25 certified games for the launch on April 4, 2022.
Claire Osborne, VP Interactive for the corporation, commented that the company is more than excited to be joining the province’s iGaming market which launches next month. In her words, the population of almost 15 million, puts the province in the same bracket as other jurisdictions such as New Jersey or Michigan, where the company already operates.
In addition to that, she added that the company expects Ontario to present a significant market opportunity for the gaming provider. Now she is looking forward to the launch and seeing how their products will be received by local gamblers. Some of the company’s certified games for the launch include Big Spin Bonus™, Big Fishing Fortune™, and retro classic Space Invaders®.
The company already operated in the country, as it has previously inked a collaboration with Loto-Québec. The Quebec Crown corporation has been a long-time customer of the company, which supplies with its exceptional Interactive casino content for its online gaming platform, lotoquebec.com. On top of that, the company has been regulated to work in some U.S. jurisdictions such as New Jersey, Michigan, and Connecticut.
Two More Licensees
Most recently, prominent gaming supplier Play’n GO also announced that it has been approved to join Canada’s most populous province. Once the market launches, the developer will be able to launch its best performing titles such as Book of Dead, Reactoonz, Rise of Olympus, Tome of Madness, and more for the Ontarians who are of legal age and within the province’s borders.
Rush Street Interactive, which already offers gaming offerings to the province but in social form has also been approved to join in. On March 10, 2022, the Illinois entertainment company announced that it has been given the nod to launch its world-class BetRivers online casino and sportsbook in the province. And this time it will be in real-money offerings.
