IGT Integrates New INTELLIGEN System in Manitoba

Just at the start of February, International Game Technology announced that its subsidiary IGT Canada Solutions ULC has inked a new deal in Canada. Now, the provider of gaming products will collaborate with Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries Corporation, as the two inked a contract extension. Through the deal, the gaming leader will provide its upgraded INTELLIGEN™ video lottery central system to the Crown agency.

IGT is an international gaming company that provides entertaining and responsible gaming offerings to fans. Its content includes a broad range of services starting from gaming machines and lotteries to sports betting and digital gambling. The company has an enormous grasp on the global gaming industry as it already operates in more than 100 jurisdictions all around the globe.

Extension of Partnership

The announcement from IGT was made on February 1, 2022, and now for the next five years, the provider will supply the Crown agency with its updated version of the INTELLIGEN™ video lottery central system. The technology is already used in Manitoba to connect over 6,600 video lottery terminals through the province. The contract extension runs for the next five years.

IGT Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Gaming, Nick Khin, said that the company’s recently enhanced INTELLIGEN system will provide the Crown corporation with insight into the status and performance of the VLT network. He explained that the system has been developed to meet the unique needs of the company’s partners, and this version supports the volume complexity and security of the Manitoban market.

With the latest extension, the renowned gambling provider will upgrade the Crown agency’s video lottery central system to the newest version of INTELLIGEN. This variant includes improved network diagnostics as well several iLINK Ultras, which is the company’s most recent retailer site controller with an individual point-of-sale device and logic box. This allows increased flexibility to retailers.

Currently, IGT deploys its cutting-edge INTELLIGEN systems to countries from all around the world, thus connecting a wide range of VLTs in a variety of gaming environments. Besides, VLTs and the innovative system, the provider also delivers commercial casino cabinets, games, IGT ADVANTAGE™ casino management system, and IGT PlayCasino games to the Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries Corporation.

Active in Other Canadian Markets

Besides, Manitoba, IGT has also gained access to other key Canadian gaming markets, such as the Atlantic region. Last September, the gambling company inked a brand-new contract extension with the Atlantic Lottery Corporation. This extension is rather short, as it is for one more calendar year, the provider will continue to supply the agency with its video lottery central system INTELLIGEN.

Then in October 2021, the international gaming supplier was awarded one more contract extension in Canada but this time with the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Commission. Through this agreement, the company launched the latest version of its INTELLIGEN systems to the province, as well as continue to be the Crown’s main systems provider.
