Greentube Announces Its Entry to Ontario

The growling list of licensed online gaming suppliers and operators in Ontario gets even longer as Greentube announces entry. The division of Novomatic Digital Gaming and Entertainment is the latest gaming entity which has been certified to operate legally in Ontario’s new iGaming market. Its premium portfolio of games will be soon available to other licensed operators in the province.

Ontario’s online gambling and sports betting market is the first private business model of this kind in Canada where only provinces offer online gaming products. The market launched on April 4, 2022, and since then its regulator the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario has given the go-ahead to more than 20 operators to join and offer their products to local audiences.

Greentube Licensed Too

Ontarians will soon have access to content from Greentube, as the company has been licensed by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario. The provider will be allowed to legally offer its gaming portfolio to other provincially licensed entities in the market. Thus, marking yet another important jurisdiction into which the brand will be able to expand into.

Its entry into the most populous province of Canada comes after the company is already operating in the regulated markets of British Columbia, Manitoba, and Quebec through various collaborations. Ontarians will be able to enjoy the provider’s greatest igaming hits, including Diamond Cash™: Mighty Elephant, Diamond Cash™: Mighty Sevens and Diamond Cash™: Oasis Riches and more games designed for the continent.

Michael Bauer, CFO/CGO for the debuting gaming brand shared they have already created a solid base in Canada in British Columbia, Manitoba and Quebec, and the team is now more than excited to gain access to Ontario. He indicated that the province is a region of immense potential for the iGaming industry and now they are looking to develop some new relationships in it.

Currently, Ontario has a population of around 14.5 million residents which makes it an attractive jurisdiction for iGaming and sports betting leaders. Some reports suggest that the market could reach an impressive size of CA$800 million, thus making the province one of tremendous importance for the provider who will now focus on developing its brand locally.

Live in Other Canadian Jurisdictions

In British Columbia, Greentube operates via a partnership agreement with the BCLC. Their collaboration was announced in May 2021, and it was the gaming provider’s debut in the province. Through this agreement, the provider has incorporated its content into the Crown corporation’s online platform PlayNow.com. Some of the first launched titles were Book of Ra™ deluxe, Lucky Lady’s Charm™ deluxe, and Sizzling Hot™.

In addition to B.C., Greentube has also gained access to Quebec’s regulated iGaming market in a collaboration with Loto-Québec. This agreement dates to July 2021, and similarly, the provider has launched numerous of its titles to the agency’s lotoquebec.com. This includes the Book of Ra™ deluxe, Apollo God of the Sun™, and Lucky Ladies Charm™ deluxe. The integration was made through Scientific Games’ OpenGaming System.
