FansUnite Reveals Next Payments Director

Canadian sports and entertainment company FansUnite has most recently informed of a new addition to its senior leadership team. The new face is former British Columbia Lottery Corporation employee Dennis Williams, who will be assuming the position of Payments Director at the company. He will start at his new position on January 10, 2022.

Mr. Williams has a rich resume from his professional career as before joining the Canadian company, he served as Payments Senior Specialist at the state-run BCLC, which is the only licensed provider of casino and lottery services in British Columbia. He had a major contribution to all payments-related strategies and solutions at the Crown agency.

New Responsibilities

After being appointed as FansUnite’s Payments Director, Mr. Williams will be overseeing all of the company’s payment solutions. He will be working closely with the corporation’s casino, iGaming, eSports, and sports betting divisions, to modernize its payments and deposit/withdrawal methods, as well as implement new systems for fiat and cryptocurrency deposits, and utilizing the company’s Chameleon Gaming Platform.

As a Payment Director, Mr. Williams will also be supervising all of the corporation’s payment solutions across its full suite of companies. This includes the UK-based McBookie, the Brazil-located VamosGG, and the company’s white label partners such as MoneyLine Sports in Europe. In addition to that, he will also be given the responsibility of establishing protocols to minimize fraud and optimize the deposit experience for clients.

Ian Winter, who is the COO of the corporation, commented that Mr. Williams is an expert in payment processing and payment systems, whose experience will prove vital for the company’s continued corporate expansion strategy. He also said that the new Payment Director will be a pivotal connection between the company’s technology development, business development, marketing, product, and operations teams.

Mr. Williams himself has also shared a few words on his appointment, as he said that he has been following the company’s growth for a while and that he is excited to be joining the team. In his words, he is also looking forward to working with CEO Scott Burton, Mr. Winter, and the rest of the team, in order to deliver the best possible service to customers and partners.

Brand Expansion

FansUnite is always striving towards reaching new territories and expanding its brand across the world map. In November, the company announced that it has formally applied to be a fully registered gaming-related supplier in Ontario’s upcoming iGaming market for private operators. Its application has been filed to the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, and it is now awaiting approval.

Another significant milestone for the company was its expansion into the United Kingdom gaming field. In the summer of 2021, the firm acquired gambling licenses for its two subsidiaries Askott Entertainment Inc. and E.G.G. Limited from the UK Gambling Commission. Now, via the approvals, the company is able to supply its B2B wagering platforms to the UK sportsbook and casino brands.
