This week, the Canadian global sports and entertainment company FansUnite announced that it has struck an agreement for the acquisition of America Affiliate. The definitive agreement between the two companies was reached on November 22, 2021, and it is worth approximately US$58.2 million, which will be paid in cash and common shares of FansUnite.
American Affiliate is a collection of assets that is devoted to finding new customers for legal sportsbooks, iCasinos, online poker platforms, and more similar products in the U.S. market. The company’s portfolio combines an exceptional range of proprietary technology, an omni-channel approach, and a marquee brands involvement.
Regulatory to the agreement FansUnite will now acquire American Affiliate and gain significant market advantage in the U.S. market thanks to the latter’s premium products. A great example of its offerings is the Betting Hero brand which is the #1 live activation company in the U.S. sports betting and online gaming markets. It has also managed to accumulate US$13.1 million in unaudited revenue for the last year.
American Affiliate has managed to generate over 150,000 new depositing customers for regulated U.S. online sports betting operators. It has also struck some major partnerships with leading sportsbook operators such as BetMGM, DraftKings, FanDuel, PointsBet, Underdog Fantasy, WynnBet, and many more.
Scott Burton, CEO of the Canadian giant said that the acquisition of American Affiliate is the largest milestone for the company from the Great White North. According to him, the deal would allow the company further access to the competitive U.S. legal sports betting and online gambling scene, while the Canadian company generating high-margin revenue, and expanding its footprint on the global gaming market.
Mr. Burton has also said that the company has been following the situation of the U.S. market and it made perfect sense for them to enter the affiliate business as a way to secure lucrative partnerships with the industry’s best operators. The CEO claim that the firm now owns one of kind customer acquisition portfolio, allowing it the leverage its technology and brands in the market.
Home Turf Debut
FansUnite is also keeping a close eye on the expanding gaming industry of Canada, which recently legalized single-event wagering. The company revealed that it has submitted its application to the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario to join the province’s new open iGaming market as a fully registered gaming-related supplier. It is expected that the market will launch in Q1 of next year.
Expanding Footprint in Europe
The summer season was also quite busy for the Canadian entertainment leader as it made some serious strides for the increase of its European presence. The company managed to acquire two gambling licenses from the UK Gambling Commission for its two subsidiaries Askott Entertainment Inc. and E.G.G. Limited. This way it has secured its way to offer its products to the local market.
