FanDuel Announces NFL Partnership in Canada

FanDuel continues to bolster its sports betting brand in Canada, as the leading sportsbook has announced a partnership with the NFL for the country. Through this agreement, the two sides will build on their relationship, and it will grant the betting company rights to the league. This will allow it to organize win trips to games, such as the Super Bowl.

In April, FanDuel gained access to the regulated iGaming and sports betting sector of Canada through entry into Ontario. Now, the sportsbook has been licensed by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario along with more than 20 other operators, and it will be on the lookout to expand its presence in the province’s industry.

Broader Exposure in Ontario

In a statement, FanDuel Canada’s General Manager, Dale Hooper, said that the betting firm is quite pleased to further extend its partnership with the NFL to the Great White North. Mr. Hooper commented that Ontario sports betting fans are keen on American football, and this collaborative effort will bring even more ways of enjoying the sport in a fun and responsible manner.

After the agreement of the deal, FanDuel Sportsbook is now an official sportsbook partner for the league in Canada. And through the partnership, the betting company will gain access to the league’s team market, and will now also have the opportunity to create NFL-themed free-to-play games. It will be also able to organize league-themed campaigns, such as win trips to games.

NFL Canada Director of Corporate Partnerships Gavin Kemp stated that with the collaboration with the sportsbook, the league is able to provide fans with unique and entertaining experiences, that will further drive engagement for all involved parties. He praised the betting leader as a global gaming brand and shared that the company is now thrilled to enhance the Canadian NFL experience.

More Local Collabs

After the opening of Ontario’s sports betting market, FanDuel announced that it has struck a partnership agreement with Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment. It become an official sports betting partner of the Toronto-based professional sports and commercial real estate company, which operates both the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Toronto Raptors. And gained rink board and on-court signage for their games.

In addition to that, FanDuel Sportsbook also informed that plans on creating marketing integrations with all of MLSE’s teams. This features the Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Raptors, Toronto FC, Toronto Argonauts, and Toronto Marlies. Back then Mr. Hooper praised the Maple Leafs, Raptors, and Toronto FC are the top pioneering franchises in the Canadian sports scene.

However, FanDuel did not stop there, as it also agreed to a multi-year partnership with BCE’s TSN sports networks. Through this partnership, the sports betting company will provide the sports networks with betting-focused content. It would also allow for the TV brand to offer wagering options on individual sports games and events
