The province of New Brunswick saw the official reopening of its commercial casino hotspot this week. Great Canadian Gaming Corporation announced the official relaunch of Casino New Brunswick on September 28 following more than half a year of lockdown and no in-person gaming in the region. The Moncton facility welcomed individuals from near and far.
This week was an important one for the province of New Brunswick, as it witnessed the official reopening of one of its casino locations able to support their host communities and offer employment to many locals. Casino New Brunswick opened its doors for the first time in months and welcomed back the people ready to try their luck in-person and see everything up for grabs there.

It could be recalled that earlier this month, Great Canadian Gaming Corporation announced its plan for action when it comes to casino gaming across the Canadian provinces. The provinces of Ontario and New Brunswick were among the first regions to see the reopening of its brick-and-mortar facilities at the end of this month.
This meant that 11 casinos in Ontario and one on New Brunswick welcomed patrons this week. The move took place in accordance with all operational plans and protocols issued, seeking the protection of both casino workers and patrons making their way there on a daily basis. When it comes to Ontario, the patrons limit has been set to 50 individuals on the premises at all times. As for New Brunswick, the casino operator had to work in accordance with the casino layout plan.
Many slot machines have been switched off, aiming to create space between the individuals. The casino location has also implemented a guest capacity of approximately 25 percent. Under different circumstances, the casino floor is capable of welcoming up to 1,800 casino patrons at a time. Casino New Brunswick has also shut down any additional amenities, focusing on gambling only for the time being.
In-Person Gaming
Individuals making their way there should keep in mind that the hotel accommodation adjacent to the casino venue is closed right now and no reservations are being accepted. They should also take into account that table gaming is also unavailable at the moment, as it is a gaming offering making physical distancing harder. Such will be the case at least until some of the provincial recommendations change.
Across the casino floor, people could see many plexiglass screens installed, where physical distancing is impossible. Casino patrons entering Casino New Brunswick must wear face masks at all times during their gaming session. Food and beverages are also unavailable within the casino hotspot during this stage of the provincial reopening plan. Great Canadian Gaming Corporation also highlighted the new working hours.
People interested in in-person gaming will have the chance to do so between 10 a.m. and 2 a.m. every day of the week. It could be recalled that back in June New Brunswick Lotteries and Gaming Corporation made it official that brick-and-mortar casinos would be part of the current phase of the business reopening plan.
