Cascades Casino Delta Begins Operations Late in September

Cascades Casino Delta is slated to become the next gambling hotspot in British Columbia, as it will soon commence operations in the province. According to the owner, Gateway Casinos & Entertainment, the new casino site close to the south end of the George Massey Tunnel in Delta, will make its grand opening on September 29, 2022.

It took some time but Gateway Casinos & Entertainment’s new Cascade-branded casino in B.C. is almost here. The project cost CA$99 million and it is located at 6005 BC-17A β€” next to the interchange of Highway 99 with Highway 17A. It replaces the former Delta Town and Country Inn, and its architectural design was done by the IBI Group.

Save the Date

Once Cascades Casino Delta kicks off operations on September 28, 2022, patrons will be able to take advantage of its many premium amenities. The casino stretches over 160,000 square-foot, and it features a 42,000-square-foot gaming floor. It accommodates over 500 slot machines, 18 live table games, and four to six electronic table games for bettors to enjoy.

In addition to the exceptional gaming offerings, the complex also comes with a five-storey hotel with 124 guest rooms, making it perfect for travellers. The hotel is also suitable for meetings and conferences. There will be also plenty of dining amenities to choose from, as it features The Buffet, Summit Bar, Match Eatery & Public House, a multi-season patio, and the Bud Room.

In a recent statement, the CEO of the owner, Tony Santo, commented that the new Delta casino will provide to be a tremendous addition to the local economy and entertainment sector in the region. In addition to that, it will also provide up to 600 new jobs in the area, with the company already hosting several job fairs last month, and it still looking to add more recruitment.

Under the agreement between the owner and the British Columbia Lottery Corporation, the municipal government is slated to receive 10% of the casino’s net gaming revenue every year. Initial estimations predict it to be approximately CA$3 million. And in the future, the casino will be boosted by the construction of a new eight-lane tunnel at the George Massey Tunnel.

Update on Properties

Currently, Gateway Casinos & Entertainment owns and runs 27 gaming properties across Canada, with casinos in British Columbia, Ontario, and Alberta. After the new Delta property opens, the company will be running a total of six Cascades-branded casinos in the province. This includes sites at Langley, Kamloops, Penticton, and Metro Vancouver. It also operates Grand Villa Casino in Burnaby and Starlight Casino in New Westminster.

A few months ago, the gaming conglomerate also provided an update on its CA$21 million casino project in Kenora, Ontario. The leader explained that it was concentrated on its existing facilities across the country and their recovery. Also, there are no present plans to begin the construction of the multi-million casino on Ninth Street North in Kenora.
