Canadian Triple Crown Unveils Third Jewel Saturday

Woodbine Entertainment is ready for a riveting week at Woodbine Racetrack which is about to bring this year’s edition of the CA$400,000 Breeders’ Stakes. October 21 is about to be a memorable date that could take one mighty horse a step close to winning the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation Canadian Triple Crown.

The upcoming 48 hours are important for the horse racing field of Ontario as expectations are that the 122nd edition of this race will be a tense one. This is the third horse race part of the premium Canadian Triple Crown and individuals interested in watching the post position draw live will get the chance to do so online with the help of the premium broadcast.

CA$400,000 Breeders’ Stakes

This year has been a special one for the fans of horse racing at Woodbine Racetrack, as it brought riveting first two races part of the Canadian Triple Crown. The CA$1,000,000 Queen’s Plate and the CA$400,000 Prince of Wales Stakes were both won by the one-eyed Mighty Heart, outrunning its rivals on the way to success earlier this fall.

September 12 saw the former live racing event, whereas September 22 witnessed the official start of the latter. The first one took place on 1-1/4 miles Tapeta at Woodbine Racetrack, whereas the second one utilized some 1-3/16 miles on dirt at Fort Erie Racetrack. Winning the third race of the Canadian Triple Crown would mean that the horse would be the eighth racehorse to accomplish this in the history of this racing series of events. The Queen’s Plate had its 161st running this year, whereas the Prince of Wales Stakes had its 85th one. October 24 is expected to bring the third leg of the Canadian Triple Crown and transform Woodbine Racetrack into an even more riveting place.

The race will span over 1-1/2 miles on turf there and electrify the crowds ready to watch it live. Daisuke Fukumoto was the jockey who managed to make it to the first place on the official rank list.
