Caesars Windsor In-Person Gambling Returns in Two Weeks

Caesars Windsor is preparing for its official relaunch following more than half a year of lockdown and no in-person gaming. The casino is currently working on its reopening on October 8, following strictly the recommendations coming with Stage 3 of the reopening plan in Ontario. There will be certain limitations during this stage of the reopening.

Earlier this summer, Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation announced that casino venues across the province could relaunch daily operation with a patrons’ limit of 50 individuals present at all times. This limit ended up concerning for the casino operators working within the province, as the small number of patrons was projected to harm them. Right now, some of them prefer to remain closed.

October 8

Caesars Windsor is preparing for the reopening of its casino floor to as many as 50 players at a time, promoting physical distancing and player protection. The casino management made it clear that only select members of the community will get the chance to gamble at the very beginning, as this could ensure the sustainability of its operation.

For the time being, the casino floor will have to implement some special restrictions on its gaming offerings. Slot machines will remain the only gambling device available, as they do not require multiple people interacting with each other while gaming. In addition to that, casino management has unplugged some of the devices, aiming to promote physical distancing between the players engaging in slots gambling.

Caesars Rewards members will be the first individuals to be allowed at the casino venue, as they have proven their loyalty and would be ready to support the gaming venue. Until Stage 4 of the business reopening plan is greenlighted, the maximum number of casino patrons will have to remain 50. The people eligible for a spot during this first stage of the reopening will receive an invitation via email.

Gaming Returns to Windsor

They should check the emails they have offered when becoming a Caesars Rewards member. Once they decide when the best time for a gambling session would be, they will have to reserve their spot in advance. This will happen with the help of the optimized system Caesars Windsor has up for grabs, making sure that their seat in front of a slot machine will await them.

Kevin Laforet, President of Caesars Windsor, pointed out that right now, casino staff members are returning to their place of work following half a year of lockdown. They will have to go through the training phase, as they get to know the new safety protocols in place. All individuals on the premises of the casino venue will have to wear masks at all ties while they are indoors.

Sanitation stations will be sprinkled across the casino floor, making it easier for players to step up their hygiene game and be protected at all times. Plexiglass screens have been installed across the venue, protecting both casino staff members and patrons. For the time being, table games, poker rooms, restaurants, bars, and the hotel will all have to remain closed.
