Just recently, Caesars Sportsbook invited graduate students from New York University’s School of Professional Studies to watch the New York Rangers face the Philadelphia Flyers at Madison Square Garden. This event was part of the NYU and Caesars Sportsbook Real Work graduate school course, which aims to raise awareness of problem gambling as an issue.
Earlier in the fall, members of the sportsbook marketing department and Caesars Entertainment’s corporate responsible gaming team gave a lecture on business strategy and the goals for promoting responsible gaming in the state to students. After that, students started working on their own responsible gaming marketing plan with everyone presenting a presentation to the company.
Educating Students
At the last week’s event at Madison Square Garden, students were able to check halfway through the semester and converse some of their ideas with experts from the sportsbook’s team. Additionally, they were able to experience the brand outside of the classroom with partners of the sports betting operator, the New York Rangers and Madison Square Garden.
Jeff Gonyo, VP of Advertising, Creative and Content for the company indicated that mobile sports betting is a developing sector of the sport-entertainment landscape in the Empire State. Mr. Gonyo said that it was important for the company to consider different approaches and ideas as a way of maintaining its top spot in the market, and engaging with the students enables just that
Daniel Isenberg, Creative Director at the sportsbook, said that responsible gaming awareness is a major part of the company’s identity and it is the focus of its Real-World collaboration with NYU. Mr. Isenberg said that students take the assignment very seriously and have put real thought into effectively communicating on the company’s Responsible Gaming initiative.
The gaming leader’s objective is to have everyone who seeks to use properties or online offerings do so for the right reasons – to play for fun. Its partnership with NYU is part of the firm’s ongoing commitment to innovation in the rapidly-changing landscape of responsible gambling. Its approach is based on clear goals, such as measurable outcomes and scientific research and evidence.
NY’s Activities
At the start of the year, Caesars Sportsbook officially joined the Empire State’s mobile sports betting market, which allows operators to accept wagers on sports online. The sector commenced operations on January 8, 2022, and to this date, the operator is the third preferred online choice as it has generated the third-largest amount of handle and revenue.
In September 2022, the betting company launched a brand-new sportsbook lounge at the home of the Buffalo Bills – Highmark Stadium. This venue functions as a retail sportsbook, however, in-person sports betting is currently not allowed in it. This is due to the fact that in-person sports betting is only allowed at commercial or tribal casinos in the state.
