B.C. Lotto Corp. Receives Responsible Gambling Protocols Appraisal

British Columbia Lottery Corporation has one more reason to celebrate the holiday season this year, as it recently received premium recognition. The World Lottery Association granted the Crown corporation Level 4 certification. This recognition is renowned for being the highest one when it comes to the gambling world.

It is no secret that the Crown corporation overseeing in-person and online gambling in British Columbia has put in tons of effort to improve the local field. Responsible gambling is crucial for the longevity and sustainability of each individual’s relationship with gambling. The recently awarded certification targets efforts aiming to protect players from gambling harm and teach them how to participate in it safely.

Level 4 Certification

This month is a special one for the British Columbia Lottery Corporation, as it bagged a recognition many lotteries strive to receive. The Level 4 certification coming from the renowned World Lottery Association uniting a large number of lottery corporations around the globe. The organization represents upwards of 140 lotteries from about 80 countries.

This enables communication and collaboration, as well as motivates all members to strive for excellence and achieve more on a daily basis. World Lottery Association’s Independent Assessment Panel under the Responsible Gambling Framework had the important task to highlight the lottery corporations eligible for Level 4 certification and British Columbia Lottery Corporation lived up to the expectations. The Crown corporation is one of the 13 lottery leaders across North America to receive premium recognition for ongoing efforts towards protecting players and minimizing the negative impact of gambling.

This recognition is being granted for the fourth consecutive year, showcasing the continuous nature of responsible-gambling policies fortification. Individuals hailing from British Columbia have the chance to benefit from the premium Player Education program in place. It aims to make it easier for them to develop a healthy relationship with gambling both in-person and online, while also taking into account lottery products.
