Now residents of the city of Langley have the chance to learn with poker peers and practice in real life their skills, as Texas Hold’em poker course in the community center recently launched.

Poker Classes Take Place on Tuesdays

Dennis Lanthier is the person people should thank for this opportunity, as he had the idea of providing people with useful knowledge. The idea of starting the poker school came after speaking with numerous of his friends and realizing many of them do not know how to play poker. Moreover, they had no idea who to ask for help and whether their tutor will be able to provide them with reliable knowledge.

This is how he decided to give green light to regular poker congregations at which individuals can have the chance to learn more about the most popular poker game and work on their own skills in the meantime. Many of them had the chance to realize they are actually quite good at this and found their new hobby as a result. The poker school also provides people who already know how to play with the chance to simply practice it without the need to break the bank in the process.

Mr. Lanthier stated that this is a fun way to meet new like-minded people and try something new without the actual risk of cash poker. The second floor of the community center is where poker action takes place every Tuesday. Players learn the basic rules of the game, as well as explain popular terminology.

Thursday Witness Multiple Player Action

There are cards and chips present at every poker table on site, as it is at a regular poker tournament and from afar the poker course might appear to be a poker event in progress. However, the chips available to players are utilized for the purpose of keeping track and providing participants with a better perception of the game.

Cascades Casino venue also provides the area with regular poker events and Heather Maynard, one of the residents attending the poker school stated that after practicing at the community center he would feel much more confident to register for participation in some of them. The mastermind behind this organization said that at first, he attempted to introduce the poker course to the town of Cloverdale, but officials were not keen on the project.

This is how Langley became the home of this poker school, further improving the existing gaming scene boosted by Cascades Casino. Thursdays are dedicated to actual cashless poker tournaments featuring other players as well, usually, people who have made their first steps in poker at the Tuesday sessions.
