Hasting Racecourse Back in the Game on July 6

Hastings Racecourse is ready for the official start of live horse racing following months of lockdown. July 6 is scheduled to see the first live races taking place on the premises of the racetrack. Great Canadian Gaming overseeing operation at the East Vancouver hotspot announced that the start of 2020 live season is rapidly approaching and preparation is in progress.

British Columbia is ready to see the official launch of horse racing within the borders of the province. The past few months have taken their toll on all industries and casino gaming and horse racing are among those. Now it is time for live racing to return to the East Vancouver area and next Monday is the most appropriate time for it to happen.

July 6

July 6 was pinpointed as the start of live races at Hastings Racecourse and it should be taken into account that the original plan for action was for the 2020 season to commence on April 26. Due to the unprecedented situation, a change of plans was necessary. Regardless of the delay, the racing hotspot is going to welcome all 25 race dates and make them possible.

This will happen without spectators making their way to the racetrack. They will get the chance to watch everything happening online, which would make it possible for them to see the race from a whole new perspective. The live races are scheduled to take place on Mondays and Tuesdays. It should also be taken into account that the post time for all races is going to be 1:15 p.m.

Hastings Racecourse will also be able to host live events every week until the end of September. The last Monday of the month is about to bring the last live race for this 2020 season. Horse people across the province have been worrying about the consequences of the delayed start of horse racing within the borders of British Columbia.

2020 Live Racing

Horse owner Glen Todd of North American Thoroughbred Horse Co. is one of the individuals that would have been personally affected by the prolonged delays of the live racing season. He recently expressed his excitement with the fact that horse racing is back to its normal pace and people interested in it will be able to place wagers on the horses.

No live racing this year would have spelled the end for the entire field and thousands of horse people across British Columbia have been relying on the fans’ support. Mr. Todd has a total of 41 horses ready for live racing starting next week. Despite the challenging times, Great Canadian Gaming was determined to put in the effort and make it possible for horse people to race as soon as possible.

This meant that all safety measures and protocols needed are being taken into account. Daily grooming on the premises of the racetrack was in progress during the lockdown and all horse people making their way there had to wear masks and practice physical distancing at all times. These efforts have paved the way for a successful launch.
